Butterfly operates on a credit-based system. When you top up your wallet, you purchase credits (coins) that are used to pay for live audio and video calls. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.
1. Nature of Credits
Credits are digital tokens used within the Butterfly platform. Once purchased, they are added to your in-app wallet and consumed when you make or receive calls based on call duration. Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value outside the app.
2. Refund Eligibility
We may consider refunds in the following circumstances:
- Technical failure: If a call failed due to a verified platform or system error and credits were deducted incorrectly.
- Duplicate charge: If you were charged more than once for the same transaction.
- Unauthorized purchase: If your account was used without your authorization and you report it promptly.
3. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds are generally not available for:
- Credits that have been used for completed calls
- Dissatisfaction with a conversation or another user's conduct
- Change of mind after purchase
- Credits that have expired according to our terms
4. How to Request a Refund

5. Processing
If your refund is approved, we will credit your original payment method or your in-app wallet, depending on the circumstances. Refunds typically take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
